On behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ most established sporting organisations, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Lawyer to join their team in Larnaca on a full-time basis.
The organisation is looking for a commercially minded legal professional with 3–5 years of relevant experience who can provide practical legal support, prepare and review contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, and advise Management on employment and other day-to-day legal matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wants to work closely with Management and play an active role in supporting the legal and operational needs of a well-established organisation.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support across the organisation, with particular focus on contract drafting, regulatory compliance, employment law, and labour relations.
The role requires strong legal judgement, excellent drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate legal requirements into clear and practical business guidance.
The Lawyer will work closely with Management and relevant departments to identify potential legal risks, ensure compliance with applicable legislation, and support the organisation in handling contractual and employment-related matters effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
- Ensure that contracts accurately reflect the organisation’s commercial arrangements and protect its legal interests.
- Provide practical legal advice to Management and other departments on day-to-day legal matters.
- Monitor applicable legislation, regulations, and legal developments affecting the organisation.
- Ensure the organisation operates in compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory framework.
- Identify potential legal and regulatory risks and recommend appropriate preventive or corrective measures.
- Support Management in reducing exposure to fines, administrative sanctions, disputes, and litigation.
- Draft and review employment contracts, amendments, policies, and other employment-related documents.
- Provide legal guidance on employee relations and labour-law matters.
- Advise on employment terminations, disciplinary matters, and other employee-related procedures.
- Support the organisation in resolving labour disputes and employment-related complaints.
- Assist in managing matters involving the Labour Inspectorate or other relevant authorities when required.
- Review internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
- Provide guidance regarding contractual obligations, liabilities, and legal risks.
- Liaise with external lawyers, consultants, authorities, and other professional advisors where required.
- Maintain organised legal files, contracts, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor legal deadlines and ensure required actions are completed on time.
- Support Management in negotiations and other legal matters as required.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
Requirements
- University degree in Law from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional legal experience.
- Admission to the relevant Bar Association and valid practising status, where applicable.
- Strong knowledge of Cyprus employment and labour law.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Good understanding of regulatory compliance and corporate legal matters.
- Experience advising on employment contracts, terminations, and labour disputes.
- Ability to identify legal risks and provide practical, commercially appropriate solutions.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent drafting and written communication skills.
- Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
What the Company Offers
- Net monthly salary of €1,500–€1,700, depending on experience and qualifications.
- 13th salary.
- Full-time, stable employment in Larnaca.
- Five-day working week, Monday to Friday.
- Working hours: 09:00–17:00.
