Junior Accountant

On behalf of our client, a well established and reputable accounting and professional services firm based in Paphos, we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their growing Accounting Department. The company offers a professional and structured working environment, providing high quality accounting, bookkeeping, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day to day bookkeeping and accounting tasks
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation
• Prepare bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT and VIES returns
• Support the monitoring of accounting deadlines and compliance obligations
• Assist in the preparation of Trial Balances and supporting documentation for audit purposes
• Liaise with senior accountants and auditors when required
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
• Organize and maintain client files and accounting records accurately

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Previous accounting experience will be considered an advantage but is not essential
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting procedures
• Good understanding of VAT and VIES concepts will be considered an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
• Knowledge of Intelisoft Accounting Software will be considered an advantage
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
